From Welshpool, proceed West on the A458 signposted Llanfair Caereinion/Dolgellau for 15 miles. On reaching Llangadfan, turn right onto the B4395 signposted Llanfyllin/Lake Vyrnwy. Continue for approximately 1.7 miles before turning into the Dyfnant Forest 'Pen y Ffordd'. Keep left and continue for 1.3 miles along the forest road before turning left after the No 8 post. After only 0.1 miles, turn left after the No 9 post and continue for 0.7 miles.
