Celebrating Nearly 40 Years of Service: Keith Davies Retires from MMP Partnership

After almost four decades of dedicated service, we mark the retirement of Keith Davies from the partnership of Morris Marshall & Poole — a moment that brings both pride and gratitude.

Keith’s journey with MMP began back in 1986, when he started working in and around the local livestock markets. Over the years, he became a familiar and highly respected presence at Welshpool Market and the MMP Welshpool Office, known for his deep knowledge of the rural property sector, calm professionalism, and strong relationships across the community.

Guided early in his career by then-principal partner Mr Jim Evans, Keith went on to qualify as a professional in the early 1990s. From there, he took on a wide range of valuation and professional work throughout Montgomeryshire and beyond, always with the attention to detail and integrity that have become his trademark. He also served as a longstanding auctioneer, primarily selling store cattle — a role that made him a well-known and trusted face in the local farming world.

In 2001, Keith became a partner in the firm and, over the next 24 years, was a cornerstone of MMP’s growth and success. He played a key role in the company’s expansion from four to nine offices, and was instrumental in the relocation of Welshpool Livestock Market to its current out-of-town location — a major project that has had a lasting impact on the local agricultural community.

Though Keith is now stepping back from his partnership role, he will continue to support the team for a short time. His contribution to the firm and the region is difficult to sum up — but we know that his legacy will continue to be felt across MMP for years to come.
