What do a former Mid Wales chapel, a coastal bungalow and a riverside cottage have in common?

A former Mid Wales chapel and chapel house, a riverside cottage and a coastal bungalow are among six lots to be auctioned next week.

Properties in north Powys, Gwynedd and Ceredigion are among the auction being staged by Morris, Marshall and Poole with Norman Lloyd on Thursday, 20 September 2018 at Welshpool Livestock Sales, Buttington Cross.

With a guide price of £50,000, Llawrycwm Chapel and Ty Cwyn Chapel at Llanfyllin, Powys is expected to attract interest. The redundant former chapel and chapel house sit within their own grounds.

“The chapel and house provide a good opportunity for someone looking to invest in the modernisation of the properties, subject to planning,” said a spokesperson at MMP/NL.

The Bungalow at Balkan Hill in Aberdyfi has a guide price of £250,000. The three-bedroom property needs some modernisation and sits within a sought-after part of the Welsh coast, with a 1/3 acre of land.

It was originally a property serving the Balkan Hall Estate and was converted into residential use.

Frondeg at Tregaron is a three bedroom semi-detached property on the edge of the village. With a quide price of £85,000 it requires some modernisation and provides a good opportunity for a first time buyer or an investor.

Other lots include:

Tyn Y Ffynon land at Cefn Coch near Llanrhaeadr Ym Mochnant, which has 5.95 acres of permanent pasture land with two general purpose timber and galvanized sheds with mains electricity and water with a guide price of £40,000.

A three bedroom bungalow at Gwaunynog, Llansantffraid with a guide price of £130,000.

A mixed commercial and residential property at 7 and 7a Corbette Square, Tywyn, that is currently let with existing tenants or vacant possession with a guide price of £120,000.

“Property auctions are a good opportunity for buyers and sellers, providing often unusual or keenly sought after properties at a fair price that represents their market value. The properties at our autumn auction will provide just that and will be worth investors and buyers coming along,” added a spokesperson.

Anyone wanting to take part in bidding for a lot will have to register their details on arrival. The auction starts at 12noon at the conference room at Welshpool Livestock Sales, Buttington Cross, Welshpool on 20 September 2018.
