A catch up with Chloe

I joined Morris Marshall and Poole in June 2023 having no previous experience in the property industry.

I was excited to join a well-established, local firm rooted in its community. Since starting I have had the opportunity to work in both Sales and Letting departments which has increased my skills and knowledge. MMP offer great training opportunities. I have attended the Propertymark Welsh Conference which was a great chance to listen to key industry experts as well as meet other agents and listen to their experiences. I enjoy preparing property particulars for both sales and lettings and MMP put me through training to gain my drone license which is something I would not have had the chance to do otherwise.

Having started working in the sales department covering day-to-day admin tasks as well as viewings, I was given the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as a Lettings Field Agent covering Twyn, Aberystwyth and Machynlleth. This role involves meeting clients, carrying out rental appraisals, advising landlords of their responsibilities and current rental regulations. I have really enjoyed learning how the rental sector works and no two days are ever the same.

A typical week might see me carrying out a market appraisal for a detached coastal property followed by searching for a septic tank location in the middle of a field. Our periodic property inspections are a great opportunity to meet our contract-holders and learn the wide variety of properties we manage.

My favourite aspect of the job is getting to travel to different offices and working with great colleagues. It has been great to meet new people. The MMP team are all friendly and supportive. If I’m ever unsure of anything, I know I can ask anyone for help and with so much to learn, it’s good to know there is always someone on hand. MMP offer opportunities for growth and development which I really appreciate and am already looking at courses and qualifications I can work towards.

MMP’s moto is “With you every step of the way” and I think this is very fitting. We pride ourselves on being there for our clients, but the team is also great at being there for each other.

I am excited for my future within Morris Marshall and Poole. I feel I have gained amazing experience.
