The sale being of Standing Timber only. The Woodland will be accessed from the fields in the North and the South of the woodland. The site has plentiful areas to create standings, and stackign areas which can be agreed prior to the granting of felling agreement.
The Standing Timber is located on the outskirts of Abermule village 5.7 miles from the market town of Newtown. The Woodland takes an elevated and sloping position.
The Standing Timber can be accesed from the field below and above the woodland if required. The Vendor is flexible on access routes providing they are agreed prior to the signing of a felling agreement. The timber on offer is well formed, and made up of Douglas Fir, Sitka Spruce and Japananese Larch and some mixed broadleaves. The timber is approximately 40 years old.
SITUATION The Standing Timber is located on the outskirts of Abermule, please see the location plan on the attached page.
FORESTRY DESCRIPTION The Standing Timber can be assessed from adjacent fields to the north and the south of the woodland. Access routes will be agreed prior to entering the Timber felling agreement. The vendor is flexible with the location of stacking areas and access routes. The timber on offer is well-formed and high yielding with a variety of species available.
FELLING LICENCES A felling licence is pending to be granted under Section 10 of the Forestry Act 1967 to clear fell the trees marked on the plan. Tree felling under this licence has been approved by Natural Resources Wales as being in accordance with government policy for the sound management of renewable source.
TENURE This is the sale of the stanidng crop of timber only, the buyer will be provided with a licence by the landlord in order to extract the timber. Draft licence agreements available on request. The licence will be provided once the successful buyer has signed and paid the licence fee.
