Rather than discuss the pros and cons of Brexit or the ever-changing money laundering regulations and the data protection act, I would like to talk about what I believe Morris Marshall & Poole stands for and that is a group of people who provide an exceptional service based on integrity, skill and professionalism.
That may sound a little old fashioned in this highly paced social media driven world, but it is still important in my view.
When I joined MMP in 1978, my father said it was the best auctioneers/estate agents in the area and I have no doubt that he was right and that this still remains true today. Despite the extra competition from other agents and the online onslaught, our standards and service remain as high as ever.
In 1978 MMP had 5 offices (2 each in Newtown and Welshpool and 1 in Llanidloes), with a heavy focus on agriculture with not only our involvement in the Welshpool market but also smaller markets in Llanfair Caereinion, Caersws, Llanidloes and Cemmaes Road. Fast forward to 2017 and this remains a large part of our business but we have also diversified with departments specialising in residential and commercial sales and lettings, surveys and planning as well as our new partnership with a mortgage adviser.
Morris Marshall & Poole now stretches from Cardigan Bay in the West to the Welsh borders/Marches consisting of 8 offices as well as a window display in Aberdyfi, employing 50 staff.
We are proud to be an independent ‘high street’ agent, providing a wealth of local and professional knowledge to all of our clients whilst also being prepared for the changes we are already beginning to see in the industry. With an increasing demand for on-line 24/7 access to meet the demands of busy modern life, Morris Marshall & Poole are proud to invest in marrying traditional and modern estate agency to offer the best possible service to our clients.
