A rare opportunity to acquire a plot of land in the stunning Montgomeryshire countryside for a new home is being offered at Llanmerewig, near Abermule in Powys, Mid Wales.
Two plots with planning permission have been released for sale, providing the purchasers with an opportunity to design and build their own homes.
The plots are next to each other on land adjacent to Nant Y Waen at Llanmerewig.
“It’s not often you come across building plots with outline planning permission such as these in this particular area and so we’re anticipating a lot of interest in them,” said Andrew Turner, a partner at Morris, Marshall and Poole with Norman Lloyd, who are selling the plots on behalf of the landowner.
He said with a current lack of residential properties suitable for some people, building on a plot is an alternative option.
“Both plots have some stunning countryside views and have electricity and water services accessible nearby, subject to separate arrangements with the relevant utility companies. This is an opportunity for someone who has wanted to have a home designed to their own specification.”
Plot 1 is 690sq metres and is being sold for £100,000, while Plot 2 is 747sq metres and is being marketed at £110,000.
Planning permission was acquired from Powys County Council for two dwellings and the installation of a sewerage treatment plant in August 2017.
